About AW11

Whatever happened to style? And to timelessness?

In “Resurrection”, our autumn/winter collection for 2011, craftsmanship, classic pieces and a whiff of old times take centre stage. But with a quirky, odd twist as usual.

“A timeless style with interesting details is something that I think everyone should strive for in our time of environmental awareness and crazy consumption. Back in the day fashion had a much longer life cycle and style and quality were more thought through. Maybe we have to take it back to go forward”, says Gram Chief Designer Alexis Holm.

The collection is designed to suit you discerning metropolitan rebels. Shoes that are unusual but still easy to wear, classic but modern. Shoes that your grandfather would have been proud to wear mountaineering back in the day and you can sport at the office.

Craftsmanship definitely takes centre stage in this collection that is all about the details. The shoes are hand made by skilled artisans in small, family owned workshops in Southern China. The collection features a collaboration with renowned Swedish hand print factory Jobs Handtryck. As seen in the 380g “Stugrabatt” (Cottage flower bed) and the 398g “Kastanj” (Chestnut).

Vibrant tones of mustard, indigo, grass and poppy band together with subdued khaki, crème, jet black and thyme. Oiled leather and soft nubuck pair up with feather light parachute polyester and oilskin canvas. All of these features provide both contrasting textures and an expression unlike anything out there on the market today.

Gram A/W11 takes you from the highest mountain peak, down to the busy city backstreets and all the way out beyond the paddock and the manor house. Ready for your feet to enjoy!
